Alberta Black Bear Hunting – A Premier Spring Adventure
Spring in Northern Alberta marks the beginning of an exceptional black bear hunting season, running from the last week of April through mid-June. We offer baited hunts or spot and stalk hunts. Our hunts provide an outstanding opportunity to harvest two Black Bears in some of Alberta’s most game-rich terrain.
With a two-bear limit and an impressive 100% opportunity rate on both, hunters can expect an action-packed experience. Our area is known for its diverse color phase bears, ranging from classic black to blonde, cinnamon, and deep chocolate brown. On average, bears measure around six feet, with trophy specimens exceeding seven feet.
Our primary method is spot and stalk black bear hunting, offering an adrenaline-fueled pursuit through the vast wilderness, but we also provide a limited number of baited hunts for those seeking a more strategic approach. Throughout your hunt week, a hunter can potentially encounter 40 – 60 bears on average, ensuring plenty of opportunities to assess size, color, and trophy potential. Our best week ever was over 300!
