This hunt didn’t feel like a guided hunt at all. They treated you like you’re hunting with your friends and family. In one night of sitting in my tree stand, I saw 27 different bears. Kelly was very knowledgeable about the bears and where to set bait barrels. The lodge we stayed in was an old hunting cabin so it made it feel like I was getting the whole hunting experience. Food was amazing and we never went hungry. We continue to stay in contact with Shauna and Kelly and always visit them every year when they come to Salt Lake City for the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo. I would highly recommend Udell’s Guiding and Outfitting to anyone. I can’t wait to book my next hunting adventure with these guys.

I have hunted with Udell’s guide service on 3 hunts and I currently have another booked for moose. My first 2 hunts were spring black bear with my son. We saw lots of bear and harvested 3 on the first hunt, and we harvested 2 chocolate bears on our second hunt with opportunity to shoot a second bear each, but passed because we were looking for a HUGE second bear. The first bear hunt was in wall tents, very nice set up with great home cooked meals. The second bear hunt was in a very nice lodge with, again, great food! My third hunt was for moose in November. We hunted hard and I harvested a big beautiful animal on the last day. Moose is by far the best game that I have eaten! Kelly and Shauna have fantastic guides and a great outfit. If you shop around you will see that they are the best deal around and I can honestly say a great guide with guides that are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! I very strongly recommend Udell’s Guiding and Outfitting!

Me and some friends went to Alberta to hunt bears with the Udell’s Guiding and Outfitting. We were lucky enough to do both spot and stalk as well as tree stands.
I met the Udell’s on several occasions at hunting shows where I booked the hunt. The Udell’s are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Very down to earth and funny.
When we arrived in Alberta, Kelly met us in town and took us out to the lodge. The lodge was amazing. When you think of first class. The lodge and welcome were well above that 5 star lodge. We got set up in rooms. The view was awesome and then the food started. I was impressed with the level of food. It was like fine dining in the back country of Canada. After dinner Kelly and Shauna sit down with you and go through trail camera photos of bear in the areas you may hunt.
Next day some of us were taken to tree stands. Others headed out in truck to spot and stalk. Within the first 15 minutes of being in the stand I saw my first bear. Which started a steady stream of bears over the next several day.
I was able to harvest a nice bear early. A couple days later ended up with a bruiser. Just shy of Boone and Crockett. Kelly, Shauna and the staff made this hunt top tier. Well above my expectations. They take care of your trophies meals and everything. You pretty much go up shoot your animals and get pampered. They work hard to make you feel at home. We have all stayed in contact since the hunt and remained friend’s. The Udell’s make you feel like you’re on a family reunion hunt.
If you are looking for an all inclusive hunt you need look no further than Kelly and Shauna. Kelly and Shauna do several other animal species not only bears.
